SUPERINTENDENT (FTE)
INTERSTATE 35 COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT Interstate 35 Community School District, with an approximate enrollment of 910 learners, is seeking an exemplary educational leader to serve as Superintendent starting July 1, 2010. The five-member board of education is seeking candidates with high integrity, outstanding leadership qualities, a strong focus on student achievement, and a good background in school finance. Completed applications must be received no later than Monday, February 1, 2010. This vacancy is due to a retirement. Mr. Bill Maske has successfully served the district as superintendent since July of 2005. Mr. Maske has resigned to make a run for U.S. Congress (District Four). An interim superintendent will be hired to serve the remainder of the current school year. While no range has been established for the superintendent salary, the board will be offering a very competitive compensation package. THE SCHOOL DISTRICT: Interstate 35 has an approximate enrollment of 910 students. Enrollment figures over the past few years have been steady and even showing a slight increase. The district serves the communities of Truro, New Virginia, and St. Charles. All facilities are located in Truro on one campus.
